Bailey is an international affairs researcher and communications practitioner with interests in environmental security, migration regimes and the governance of emerging technologies. She is a Master of Global Governance candidate and Graduate Research Fellow at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, and was awarded a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo in 2018. Bailey has held positions at The Engine Room, the United Nations Environment Programme and the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. At the Institute for Peace and Diplomacy, she creates organizational and campaign communications procedures, develops fundraising strategies and designs research projects.
